Archiving personal is only right if those who created the data consent.

I'm a big fan of archiving, and I am personally fine with selectivily archiving my own stuff, but back when I had my own instance before it shut down I went to the members and said I wish to archive the instance, do you consent.

Availability doesn't mean consent, and just becaue someone consents doesn't mean that consent is eternal, it can be revoked.
